Passed away Saturday, August 29, 1998, at McLaren Regional Medical Center, Flint. Age 84 years. She was born November 15, 1913 in St. Charles the daughter of John & Catherine (Rys) Kasprzyk. Sophia married John F. Wazny on July 1, 1933 in Munger. He predeceased her September 21, 1991. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She was a L.P.N. at Pleasant View, retiring in 1975 after 19 years of service. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Joe (Mary) Smith, Owosso; Mrs. Jack (Janet) Spitler, Montague and Mrs. Gary (Lois) Crawford, Byron; three sons, Louis (Pauline) Wazny, Deming, New Mexico; Thomas Wazny, Corunna and James (Bernice) Wazny, Grand Blanc; 18 grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren; one great-great- granddaughter; two brothers, Stanley Kasprzyk, Saginaw and Joseph (Mary) Kasprzyk, Augres. Funeral service will take place Tuesday, September 1, 1998 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Fr. Robert Kolenski will officiate with burial in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nelson- House Funeral Homes, Owosso on Sunday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the family present from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
